The Georgia Tax Tribunal: Overview and Update
Beginning January 1, 2013, a taxpayer facing a tax dispute with the Georgia Department of Revenue can have the case resolved by filing a petition with the newly-formed Georgia Tax Tribunal. This session will review the structure of the Tribunal, the kinds of cases that can be resolved by the Tribunal, and how to initiate a case by filing a petition. Also included will be a review of the rules of the Tribunal and who can practice before the Georgia Tax Tribunal.
