Economic Update
The U.S. economy continues to expand slowly more than four years after the great recession, precipitated by the country’s deepest post-war financial and banking crises. Growth has never been robust in this expansion despite unprecedented monetary and fiscal stimulus. We review the current state of the U.S. and Georgia regional economies and identify factors underlying continuing slow or stronger growth over the short to medium term as well as factors increasing the risk of recession.
