Microsoft Access Fundamentals - Tables and Queries

As Microsoft's desktop database, Access is a bit of an enigma to many business professionals. Primarily because many attempt to use Access the same way as they use Excel and are frustrated when the intended results are not achieved.ÿ In this seminar, you will learn the fundamentals of working with Access by focusing on its two core components - tables and queries.

Tables are the most fundamental element of a database, serving as the storage repository for data. Queries are how Access users manipulate data in their database. Learn how to master tables and queries - and put yourself on the path to effectively using Access - by participating in this seminar.

Upon completing this course, participants should be able to:

- Define the four core components of Access

- Create tables in Access and apply best practices to ensure continued integrity of data in multiple tables

  - Differentiate between the nine types of queries in Access and create each type of query to manipulate data in Access

- Recognize opportunities to integrate Access with other components
