Don Farmer's 2015 Pre-Tax Season Review for Corporate Returns

Using a combination of humor and examples, we will review tax developments that affect 2015 return preparation and 2015 tax planning for corporate and other business taxpayers. We will also review the major areas of corporate and business taxation to fine tune practitioners for "tax season." This seminar will also contain a segment covering the latest developments affecting the taxation of partnerships. A 600+ page reference manual with each chapter containing basic rules, selected items of interest, 2015 developments, planning ideas, listings of related IRS Forms and Publications, and a topical index is included. 

Review of corporate and other business income taxation including: 

- 2015 corporate and business tax developments, including a review of new tax legislation. 

- A review of both legislative and non-legislative provisions first effective in 2015, Including 

-The "employer mandate" provisions and the new mandatory employer reporting rules of the Affordable Care Act and The new certified professional employer organization provisions of the ABLE Act. 

-Review of the latest developments involving the final capitalization regulations. 

-Review of the Affordable Care Act=s employer requirements.

-2015 developments that may warrant amended returns.

-Status of business tax breaks that expired at the end of 2014. 

-Latest developments involving S corporations and partnerships (including planning ideas). 

-The latest on the section 179 deduction and the section 168(k) bonus depreciation. 

-Update on entity-selection issues (including S/E taxation of LLC members; salaries of S corporation owners; impact of the 3.8% Net Investment Income Tax on the sale of interest in a pass-through entity). 

-Latest developments on accounting methods. 

-Review of rules for meals, travel, and entertainment expenses. 

-Independent contractor and payroll tax issues. 

-Review of various fringe benefits (including the latest developments on employer premium payment plans).
